Richard Marshall (r.marshall@unl.ac.uk) reports: located near Newbury, Berkshire. Produces excellent beers such as Brick Kiln Bitter. Pub is small isolated country pub serving local beers, good food. Just before Christmas the local mummers perform traditional mummers play St George and the Dragon, usually outside in the yard then retire inside for traditional carols, hot punch, mince pies.

The Lyceum on the Strand near Covent Garden
Old theatre revamped and turned into great pub, serving one of the best bitters I've ever tasted. Delightfully woody, this cask conditioned ale is their house brand (I can't remember its name, alas).
