- Bruce Clark (baclark@med.pitt.edu) reports on their Wheat Bock: It comes in a big, 2 liter (I think)
bottle, which is refillable, if you live in the
Baltimore area. The stuff is unpasteurized, so it
must be kept refrigerated, so you probably won't see
it in the stores around the country real soon.
It is Great! Very delicious.
- Ohmono (dstrother@pop.dn.net) reports:It is also known locally as DeGroen's, after brewer Theo de
Groen, and that is the name under which his products are retailed,
unpasteurized, in marvelous medieval-style growlers in the coolers of
better beer outlets in the Baltimore area. His hefe-weizen is, to my
taste, equal to the best Bavaria has to offer. His style is German, as
is the great food served there. A strong sense of gemuetlichkeit
prevails.

- Tom Glaab(tglaab@clutter.com) reports:Wild Goose has a "taphouse" on the second floor. A Baltimore
seafood place offers food that compliments the beer.

- Ohmono (dstrother@pop.dn.net) reports: the Englishman's answer to de Groen's, complete with
great cask-conditioned ales and appropriate fare, including malt vinegar
for your chips. Close to Oriole Park, so go at any time other than when
they're playing at home. Their polo shirt logo is the mother of all
beer logos; one hopes that it will appear on the web some day.

aka Mount Airy Brewing Co., is a "Microbrewery and Restaurant"
Ohmono (dstrother@pop.dn.net) reports: Firehouse Pub and Grill is a real treat, particularly for a very new
operation. Very good beers, although as evidenced by their web page,
they haven't yet settled on a couple of signature beers with others to
rotate around them. Definitely worth the trip if you're in the area.
Good pub grub.
